Held in Villach, a town of 60,000 people in Austria's state of Kärnten, this summer night running event offers two Kinderläufe (children's races, 500m and 1.83km) and a 5.82km Citylauf.

The Citylauf is three laps of an undulating course through the town centre.

Participants run on a mix of asphalt and cobbles through Villach's Old Town, along the River Drau and across two bridges. The course is closed to all traffic.

Three hundred and fifty runners of all ages took part in the event last year.
