The Bavarian Run offers a 5k, a 10k and a 15k race through the Olympiapark which was created for the Olympic Games 1972 in München (Munich), capital of Germany's state of Bayern (Bavaria).

Almost 800 runners took part in the event last year.

The route is an undulating 5km-long loop that passes a large number of sports venues, including the magnificent Olympic Stadium and the former Olympic Village.

Approximately 90 per cent of each lap is on asphalt and 10 per cent on gravel.
