The Jirkovský Crossmarathon in the Czech Republic is a 42.2km multi-terrain mountain marathon race for runners, cyclists, and hikers.

Held in the Ore Mountains (Czech: Krušné hory; German: Erzgebirge), a mountain range on the border between the Czech Republic and Germany, the course features about 1000m of ascent and 1000m of descent.

The start and the finish are at an elevation of 310m in the small town of Jirkov (pictured), which is situated in a coal mining area at the foot of the mountains. The highest point on the course is at 905m above sea level.

The route runs on roads and trails through lovely scenery — forests, meadows, moorland, and small villages.

Last year, the event had approximately 150 participants.
