This popular Stadtlauf offers a 5k, a 10k, a half marathon, and children's races through Dresden, a city of more than half a million people in eastern Germany.

Starting and finishing on Altmarkt in the city centre, the route runs on roads and cycleways through Dresden's historic centre and along both banks of the River Elbe, passing many magnificent buildings en route.

The half marathon consists of two laps (10km + 11.1km).

Instead of a bib number, all participants get a technical T-shirt which they must wear during the race.

In 2014, the event recorded more than 2,500 finishers, not including the children's races.
