The MFB (Mezinárodní Festival Běhu - ‘International Running Festival’) is held in mid-June in Kolín, a town of 30,000 people, located 60km east of Prague on the River Elbe (Czech: Labe).
The event offers two races (7km and 15km) and a non-competitive fun run.
All routes begin at the imposing Gothic church of St Bartholomew in the town centre (pictured). Partipants run through Kolín's very pretty Old Town, along the river, and through woods and rural areas.
The finish line is on Kmochův ostrov, an island in the Elbe.
