The Silvestrovský běh (New Year's Eve Run) in Jihlava, an old town of about 50,000 people in the Czech Republic, offers children's races, a 2.5km race for women, and a 4.9km race for men.

All races begin and end at the Horácký zimní stadion, which is home to the HC Dukla Jihlava, the most successful club in the history of Czech ice hockey.

Women run two laps and men run four laps of an appealing course that winds its way through the small Smetanovy sady park and through the northern part of the historic town centre.
